The real reason no one is excited about consolidation of the Wildwoods, unfortunately, is Wildwood. What voter in their right mind in North Wildwood or the Crest would want to bail out Wildwood? Why should they? It only becomes palatable if through consolidation every property owner sees a property tax deduction of at least 33 percent. Also, close the high school. For that kind of money per student, a kid could attend a decent college.
