I have lived in Town Bank my whole life. Why does the fire whistle blow loud forever! Firemen originally had no other way to know there was a fire and then came pagers and now cellphones. A few blows of the horn and a message to all firefighters on their phone is all that is needed. If you live within 6 blocks you cannot hear anything but the whistle for over a minute
