Wildwood - In reply to a spout about U.S. resolve after the attack on Pearl Harbor, someone made a comment, "We also put Americans of Japanese descent in internment camps. Great times." The internment of Japanese Americans was a terrible error, almost as horrible as the displacement of Cherokees from their ancestral lands in northern Georgia and the Carolinas under the "Indian Removal Act of 1830." But for someone to focus on that one issue in light of the significant, courageous response by the American people following Pearl Harbor is disgraceful. Yes, we helped save the world; they were "great times."
