Fleeing in a stolen car narrowly avoiding running into police cars and police officers is behavior that most people would find life threatening. Without trying to defend the lack of firing discipline by the police, it is obvious that the conduct of the "victim" was a major cause of his ultimate demise. Should we excuse that type of behavior?
