A Wildwood spouter bemoaning the death of a criminal in Chicago mused about police training. It takes 4 years of undergrad work to become a teacher, 3 years post grad for lawyer and around 8 post grad to be a doctor. Police training, 6 months, has nothing to do with these shootings. Teachers don't go to work every day in a hostile world, subject to fears and stresses other jobs don't experience. The Chicago cop acted wrongly, but every day, thousands don't stew up like that. It is a tough job and we only have humans with human flaws to hire for the job. Rightfully, they arrested that cop.
