There is a well-known variable in Wildwood that the surrounding towns lack. It is the unemployed, those on Section 8, transients, illegals and others dumped here as undesirables. Landlords rent to these people via vouchers to be able to prevent losing their properties to high taxes, and why? It justifies the need for our school system, our police, fire and EMS departments and the staffing that goes with it. We are service oriented and depend on these people to keep jobs, allow for more hires, and give the raises that come with promotions and other benefits. Wake up taxpayers.
