A spouter expressing shock how commissioners openly discussed the local school budget at a recent meeting should know this is nothing new, even though, in theory, they have no role in the school budget. Local citizens are well aware of commissioner involvement in the schools, especially the high school, for years, and of past boards to stand up to City Hall.
