I am thankful that the high rise "Condotels" were never built in

Wildwood / North Wildwood - I am thankful that the high rise "Condotels" were never built in the real estate boom of 2001 to 2008. We have so many townhouses and condo's still in foreclosure proceedings, in addition to many that owners do not want to sell at a lower price than what they bought. I do remember a commissioner in Wildwood promoting the "condotel" model as Wildwood's ticket to fortunes and am thankful they never materialized. We would be stuck with so many vacant, "white elephant" buildings that they would have eventually been converted into low-income housing projects, which would not have been good.
