I live in a house that has multiple apartments/rooms within. There is a common kitchen area with laundry. None of the apartments/rooms have their own bathroom. Is it the property manager's/owner's duty to maintain and thoroughly clean the common areas? I don't know how the others don't care about cleaning and think the health dept. should enforce common areas of the house to be kept clean and sanitary. It's not fair that I'm the only one who cares to clean. Anyone know the law here or who to contact about missing smoke detectors, too?
