How come nobody challenged the Wildwood spout that said there are no volunteer firemen in Wildwood, just old men who drink beer and talk about the old days? No one challenged it because it is true. There are lots of solutions to that problem; consolidation of public safety services for the whole island is the best answer. But it is undeniable that the City of Wildwood could not provide fire protection without career firefighters, a reasonable expense, or the goodness of the neighboring towns, an unreasonable expectation. Childish "spouting" won't change those facts.
