I agree with the spouter on long waits at local banks. No matter how simple the transaction, it seems to take at least 15 minutes. My husband, a retired bank manager, often remarks that he does not understand how it can take so long to process routine deposits. Even withdrawals should take no longer than five minutes unless it’s a large sum of money. Case in point, we just returned from the bank after making two checking account deposits involving just five checks. It took close to 20 minutes and the bank was empty. Ridiculous.
