A few recent spouts seem to be questioning police training. Another questions police psychological exams. These spouts are coming from people who show no indication of understanding how long and difficult basic police training is. The police academy covers over 130 different topics, all of which require written and/or practical testing to pass. Most cops ride with training officers afterwards. Psychological testing takes place in the beginning of a career, not after years of stress. Some cops make terrible errors. But almost all of the 1.2 million cops go to work and do a good job every day.
