Wildwood Crest - I often see "mistakes" in obituaries when it comes to people participating in our country's conflicts. I suppose some of these "mistakes" are caused by mistaking the deceased's age. For instance, I recently read an obit for a person who died last week at the reported age of 79. The obit went on to say that this person had fought in the Korean War. This cannot be so. That would make the person to be born in 1938 and at the end of the Korean War, (July of 1953), to be 15 at discharge. I doubt very much that this country would allow a 13-year-old to be engaged in combat.
