City to hire more police officers with grant money. Grant money is fine to use for open space and parks, etc. No additional cost except to maintain the land. Grant money to hire more cops runs out in about three years. The taxpayers are then again burdened to pay for their salaries, benefits and long-term cost. The small population of our town with the large PD force at present is sufficient. Clean up the city of drug dealers with what we have now. We have two police departments to assist us both across the street in the North and in the Crest. Let's not make this town an armed-force resort.
