To Avalon in favor of a new Library, we need new leadership and a turn away from unnecessary spending. Our water towers have had deferred maintenance for years that is only now being addressed. The beach by the Fishing Pier has been permanently altered by relying on it for sand back passing in order to buy time for the north end. It wasn’t a storm that caused the gully in the borrow area or the steep slopes and sand devoid of food sources necessary for a balanced ecosystem. It was a deep misunderstanding of stewardship and what is truly needed for our town. It’s time to end that.
