I looked into the suit Commisioner Golden claimed caused our taxes to go up this year. It was a suit against him by a former borough clerk that cost taxpayers here more than $165,000. The insurance didn't cover the suit so taxpayers have to cover the costs. Anyone can read about the settlement. Go to borough hall and ask to see Resolution 2015-070. It is public information.
