I don't think the coast guard is a good fit for patrolling our town. They would have to dock their boats and walk blocks to answer calls unless the residents met them at the docks and most of us our older and can't walk distance. Maybe the county could offer a shuttle? I think a better choice would be the park rangers in pick up trucks as the other guy wrote.
