In a comment to a spout, a woman stated "country-wide killing of unarmed civilians, shooting folks' pets, cover-ups, etc. The difference is the Internet has arrived." Some cops have always made mistakes, or even deliberately done the wrong thing. Most of them eventually get caught, but with videos popping up online, often carefully edited to make cops look bad, the effect has been chilling. It is not stopping police misconduct, instead cops are now reluctant to anything, anytime, for fear of being smeared on the internet. Just look at Baltimore and rising crime rates. Is this good?
