Strathmere - I live at the beach and was raised to respect lifeguards who risk their lives to save others. I witnessed a resident verbally attack a Strathmere lifeguard for parking in a legal spot on Williams Ave. Aug. 6. This woman yelled at the guard saying that he was not allowed to park on the street and had to park near the firehouse which is a couple blocks away. She had a phone in her hand pacing by his car saying she was calling the mayor. Shame on this woman and as a resident taxpayer I hope the mayor does not entertain her complaint.
