Court House - The Middle Township advisory committee looking into the change in government was indeed an advisory committee, not a charter study commission. There was no requirement that the advisory committee make a specific recommendation according to the charge made to the advisory group by Middle Township Committee. These 15-plus volunteers devoted over 500 man hours to researching, evaluating, ranking and discussing the options. Without an overwhelming majority view, the citizens of Middle were given the pathways which must be followed for taking the next step. No "taxpayer resources" spent at all. No "waste of time."
