Stone Harbor - Our family has been coming to Stone Harbor for over 60 years. It truly is the seashore at its best and a family town. However this year we are starting to feel the town government/departments are much more in our face. The police patrol the beaches on ATVs constantly, the sirens blast and public announcements are made over loud speakers when it rains or lightning, and then the lifeguards tell people to get out of ankle-deep water. It's like we are living in a police state. It has to stop. You are going to chase people away and discourage them from visiting.
