At the July 21 council meeting, Councilwoman Rich made everyone laugh. They should have been crying. The mayor announced that the new library was approved and in the fall, construction will begin. At that point Rich said, with a straight face, that it is because of hard work and perseverance that led to this. Really? You and the mayor are responsible for at least five years of delays and bickering. The $4.5 million building actually costs $5.2 million because of the waste of taxpayer money that they caused. Ten years and counting. We can hardly wait!
