Rio Grande - At the March 19 County Chamber of Commerce meeting, Freeholder Thornton said that "when positions are filled, it is with part-time workers who labor no longer than 28 hours to spare having to pay healthcare." Who's he kidding? I know quite a few people who have been hired full-time with health benefits, including his stepson and the daughter of the county clerk of the board.
