It kind of contradicts Middle Township Chief Leusner patting himself on the back with his stats, indicating how he has cleaned up Middle Township, when this article indicates Middle Township is the crime capital of Cape May County.

According to a Herald article, "Three municipalities accounted for two out of every three violent crime reports – Middle Township, Wildwood City, and Lower Township in that order." The accompanying chart shows Middle Township with 51 violent crimes, Wildwood with 40 violent crimes, and Lower Township with 35 violent crimes, per Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) statistics for 2018.
