Let me get this straight. The Rio Grande Fire Official gets himself in criminal hot water for allegedly filing a false police report. As a result, a Fire Commissioner gets ousted in the election and a new majority takes over the board. This leads to calls for an audit of the books and accusations of misuse of vehicles. The Township Committee steps in, after discussions with the state, to say maybe we need a better approach here. And that makes the Mayor the bad guy? His job is to protect the town and its taxpayers. Seems like he’s doing his job. Seems like a change is needed. Good job Mayor.
