Ocean City - Several times when the Vietnam war is mentioned, a young lady comments mentioning the My Lai massacre. There is no defense or excuse for that abomination, but obviously she has a very limited understanding of the Vietnam war, either as a historical fact or as a memory. She needs to remember that all war is an abomination, but one which is inevitable given the weaknesses of human nature. She obviously knows nothing of the massacres committed by the Viet Cong at Dak Son or the NVA at Hue. She also must not know any Vietnamese, who for the last 50 years have fled Vietnam for freedom in the US.
