Ocean City - A Middle Township spouter wrote, "Our taxes should not go to beach replenishment to protect the businesses and homes of wealthy people that choose to live near the beach. It's socialism for the wealthy." Maybe he/she should realize that if it were not for the businesses and resort residents, there would be very little excuse for the rest of Cape May County to exist. Do away with the barrier islands and what do you suppose would support the rest of the county? Farming? Fishing?
