Ocean City - I was blind to the arrogance (and ignorance) of youth until I too became old. To paraphrase Mark Twain, as a youth, I thought my father was pretty stupid. By the time I was an adult I was amazed how much the old man has learned. If we do not study our parents' history and learn from it, we are doomed to repeat it. The lessons of hard work, self-reliance, and accountability that they tried to teach were legitimate. Somehow, some of us have failed to pass that on to our children.
