Why does North Wildwood Fire Department Quint 2 respond with lig

North Wildwood - Why does North Wildwood Fire Department Quint 2 respond with lights and sirens to a call, but the volunteers respond with no sirens or lights? Why call them in the first place? Such a waste, just have them cover the town on stand by. Also, why have a fire siren? It's only blown for flooding, and not possible structure fires, as it's supposed to be used for. I guess living off the island we have to listen to whistles all the time.
