Cape May - On July 7 around 5:45 p.m., a resident of Cape May was disobeying traffic laws at the intersection of Yacht Ave. and Washington St. She saw my husband and I approaching on bicycles to cross at the crosswalk and deliberately stopped her car, blocking the crosswalk and our access to enter the sidewalk on the other side of the street. When I said to her sarcastically, “That was nice!”, she yelled at us, “Well, I live here!” I yelled back that I live here, too, and that is no reason for breaking laws. I can’t believe Cape May has people who think the laws are only for who they think lives here!
