North Wildwood - It's time for beach tags in North Wildwood. I rose to watch the sunrise Sunday morning, Aug. 20. The sun did not disappoint, but the beach did. The trash was overflowing at every beach entrance. Why was this not picked up on Saturday, Aug. 19? The seagulls were ripping apart bags in search of food. I had to go into the ocean to grab a box filled with trash that a seagull was carrying in the water. This is not safe for marine life. Water bottles, food wrappers and don't get me started on cigarette butts. Our beach is not a personal ashtray! Ban smoking on the beach! You want to keep the beach nice, start charging.
