What is an employment status change in the Public Works Department? Does that mean the job classifications for the position have changed so that the job can be given to a retired police chief? How fair is that? Someone who already collects a pension gets a full-time job with a great annual salary. Did council stop and think about the taxpayers who have already paid him for his service and now they are paying him again? How about promoting from within? Taxpayers need to wake up! Give the job to someone who does not have one!
