North Cape May - Some New Jersey high schools will trial later start times for students. The reason, I understand, is that some students aren’t getting enough sleep and have trouble concentrating in class. Fair enough. My question is, if you push back the school start time, will some students also push back their bedtimes and stay up even later watching TV, playing video games, on social media and the internet, texting, calling friends, and so on? Could this trial simply cause the problem to repeat itself? We’ll find out.
