There are Federal laws staring since 1934 and 12 acts in Congress to date regarding guns! Now, you hear about the 20,000 laws in the books, which we know is false, BUT in total between Federal and states is about 6700 according to the ATF. This is NOT including laws that pertain to inner city laws like Washington DC and Chicago. No matter where you are in this Country, NO gun is EASY to get unless you're a criminal!
