To the Town Bank spouter in regards to students being held accountable for their grades: I don't doubt there are some parents who are raising disrespectful and lazy children, however, that does not mean a teacher should give up on those children! Your spout suggests that if the parents don't care, then the teacher shouldn't either. I don't believe it's easy to be a teacher, but I do believe they should do everything in their power to help every student in their class understand what they are being taught, regardless of the situation.
