I had a recent family member pass away from cancer. While they were in the hospital they contracted COVID-19. So why on their death certificate does it say the cause of death was COVID-19? When they passed away from cancer. COVID-19 was a contributing factor but ultimately was not the cause of death. Can someone please explain this? Trust me I asked at the hospital and I got no explanation.
