Lower Township - To the spouter suggesting reliance on mutual aid fire departments: Tell me how it works when a person is in a burning home and you are waiting 10-15 minutes or more for someone from a neighboring town to come help. What happens when that town next door has their own emergency to deal with? Are they going to drop what they are doing to come help your town? Are you willing to pay to help put out the fire in the next town over? I'm pretty sure they are not willing to put out your fires that you are too cheap to pay for. Mutual aid agreements are designed for a large emergency, not day to day.
