Dear lord I have but one request before my days are done, that I before I’m laid to rest might score a hole in one. This is known as the golfers prayer, and no matter what I or they may say, it is the secret fantasy of every golfer. It is the holy grail of golf for most duffers and amateurs, and the day you might actually say, I will put down the sticks, as I can do no more. I have been waiting for that day for 40 years, however it has eluded me. So golf widows, when your partner goes into the morning mist, wearing the most funky clothes they possess, know we go with purpose & determination.
