My cell phone has a camera capable of taking a crystal clear picture of an ant's sneakers, but a major business/corporation such as banks and convenient stores have "security" cameras with the photographic equivalence of a potato. Every surveillance photo I see online is grainy, distorted and practically worthless. In today's day and age, it's possible to harness the technology to create security cameras that can see the logo on the perpetrator's baseball cap.
