Published crime statistic reports indicating crime is down statewide do little to build confidence for Dennis Township residents who were involved in the series of recent home break-ins. The purpose of this crime reporting is to identify patterns of illegal activity and then focus law enforcement efforts to prevent such future crimes. Drugs and property crimes go hand-in-hand, and drug use is epidemic in Cape May Co. The ultimate goal of crime analysis is to bring about the highest level of public safety possible. This is why Dennis Township needs to bring back constables on patrol.
