Court House - Dogs bark because they are lonely, need something, to say hello or to defend his territory. Tell the owner that their dog is barking when they are away or when you are sleeping. Ask for their help. Think why the dog is barking. Suggest the owner meet that need and train their dog. If a friendly conversation with the owner does not work, call animal control. Review your township code to learn what can be enforced. Solutions vary by the cause of barking and can be corrected sometimes by something as simple as preventing the dog from a complete view.
