The new striped bass regulations are a disgrace. Allowing people to keep fish under 28" will result in a much greater harvest of striped bass. Allowing fishermen to keep one striped bass over 43" does nothing to protect the big breeders. The new regulations just encourage more over-fishing. It should have been just a one fish limit between 28" and 43". Both big fish and little fish should be released. Too many people are killing too many stripers. Fishing would be better if everyone released most of their fish.
