I have always found teacher of the year awards to be biased and based on popularity rather then on teaching ability because teachers vote for other teachers. It’s my belief that every teacher that has taught during this past year deserves to be honored with a teacher of the year award. Better yet let’s give an award to all the parents and guardians who lost jobs and had to step up and become their child’s teacher. This has been a very difficult school year for everyone! This is not the school year to single out just one person as the so called best.
