Has anyone noticed all the police and ambulance drivers with blaring sirens and flashing lights on Route 9 six or more times a day with little traffic congestion? I realize with a life-threatening emergency, fine, but a flashing light with no siren would indicate to drivers to pull over until emergency vehicles pass, and most drivers do pull over. If not, a brief horn toot. A brief siren or shrill horn beep is fine going through traffic lights after a complete stop, and EMS and police, thank you for the job you do, but is everything life-threatening?
