The benefits to the American economy of businesses hiring legitimate immigrant workers is manifold. Their work ethic and willingness to work for lower wages allows grassroots, small businesses to stay afloat. They work at jobs that a lot of us do not want, such as farm labor, landscaping, construction, home improvement, etc. In an environment where there is good labor, it's only a matter of time before the local economy becomes revitalized and property values increase, and so too the need for white collar services.
