The Big Ten Conference now has 14 teams, and they've had 11 team

Cape May - The Big Ten Conference now has 14 teams, and they've had 11 teams since Penn State joined about 15 years ago. The Big 12 Conference only has 10 teams. Is it me, or should college football conference names bear some relationship to the number of member schools? Maybe they should change their naming schemes to something other than numbers.
