Court House - Regarding the editor's reply as to why NJ's pension system is broken: In the early 90's, all the major unions "loaned" the Whitman administration our pension money to pay state debt. Unfortunately, our union leaders did not ask for collateral to back these loans. This money was never paid back. Each succeeding administration, for 12 years, declared "pension holidays" so no agencies paid into the system. The only ones paying their share were employees. Gov. Christie should honor his promises to fund our pensions so we can survive during retirement.
