I have visited all three 9/11 memorials. In NYC, I was overwhelmed by the enormity of the tragedy. At the Pentagon, I felt a deep sadness as I examined the memorial for each victim from the youngest at 3 to the oldest at 75. In Shanksville, the sense of sacrifice and unity were everywhere. The partisan speech at the Cape May 9/11 memorial event dishonored the memories of the First Responders and warriors who protect our country from attack. Political speeches have their place, just not at an event to honor fallen heroes and innocent victims.
