Cape May County - The last thing Cape May County needs is another freeway to bring in more vacationers. There are so many cars in the summer that one can't find parking on any of the barrier islands. Traffic is bumper to bumper on virtually every road. Parking lots are all full. We have reached and surpassed our automobile carrying capacity. This traffic gridlock makes the Jersey Cape a most unattractive vacation destination. Just say no to Route 55.
