Cape May County - I'd like to ask everyone to Please, Please think of any pets you may have in this heat. Please keep walks short, try and bring water if possible, avoid asphalt/blacktop and if you can't hold your hand on the street for 5 seconds, it's too hot for your dogs pads.
Ice cold water will become ambient temperature in 1 hour, please change water often. Please, (do not) leave pets in a hot car, temps can get over 150º very quickly, even with windows cracked open, heat stroke and death are Imminent. Remember, if it's too hot for you, it's way too hot for them. Thank you, they depend on you.
